Where Do We Go From Here?

Exodus 15:1
Where do we go from here?

When this 15th chapter of the book of Exodus opens it opens with Moses leading the children of Israel in a song. Their days of being in bondage to their task masters are now over. The bodies of Egyptian soldiers and their horses could be seen floating on top of the waters of the Red Sea. After 430 years of bondage the children of Israel began to celebrate their new found freedom. I’m sure while they were celebrating they were also entertaining a number of questions but none as important as, WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

This situation best describes many of us! 2013 is now behind us and we are thanking God for allowing us to make it through the many problems that we experienced in 2013. But as we enter this New Year many of us are entertaining the question, WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? There are three answers to this questions. First go forward in your purpose! God has a purpose for each of us! In Ephesians 2:10 the Apostle Paul said, “For we are his creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which For we are his creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, so that we may walk in them.

Second, go forward in service to one another! These are some difficult days that we are living in. High unemployment, downsizing, and a fluctuating economy are making it difficult for many. However, these difficult times are really opportunities for us to be a blessing to one another! Finally, go forward in your commitment to God! In Romans 12:1 the Apostle Paul said ” I BESEECH YO THEREFORE BRETHREN THAT YOU PRESENT YOUR BODY A LIVING SACRIFICE HOLY ACCEPTABLE UNTO GOD WHICH IS OUR REASONABLE SERVICE! Under the Old Testament system of sacrificial offerings once the offering was placed on the Altar it no longer belonged to the individual it belonged to The Lord! Once we give our lives to The Lord we no longer belong to ourself but we belong to God! In the year of 2014 recommit yourself to him! Fall in love with him all over again!
